The Burt VFW
The Burt VFW hosts the community service on Memorial Day each year. They have a breakfast fund raiser each year on the Sunday closest to Veterans Day. They meet the second Tuesday of each month at the Burt Community Center at 7:00 p.m. during the winter months and 8:00 p.m. in the summer months. Commander: Roger Lavrenz
The Burt Lions Club
The Burt Lions Club has several breakfast fund raisers throughout the year to help fund their community projects. Some of their projects include helping clean the ditches along Highway 169 and collecting old eye glasses. They recently provided the man power to make roofs for the dugouts at the baseball field. They meet the third Monday of each month at the Burt Community Center at 6:30 p.m. President: Harold Lavrenz
The Burt Women's Club
The Burt Womens Club provide flowers for the flower barrels on Walnut Street each summer. Members take turns watering and weeding the flowers throughout the season. They are also a good supporter of the local library. They meet on the third Monday of each month at the homes of members at 7:00 p.m. President: Sue Menke
The Burt Playground Committee
A small playground committee was formed several years ago. Through many fund raisers they were able to purchase nice playground equipment at the Burt Athletic Field Park. Recently they added to this equipment with some smaller playground pieces plus two new outdoor grills for the Athletic Park and Complex Park. All are great additions to our recreational facilities.
